WebGL Visualization

This visualization was created as part of an in-house project during my bachelor’s degree program. For data protection reasons, the original 3D object and company logo have been replaced with custom-created graphics.

The goal of the application shown here was to create a prototype of a product visualization for the web. The visualization was intended to depict a product in three dimensions and enable interactions with website visitors. To this end, various solutions in the field of real-time visualization on the internet were researched, tested, and compared. The client expressed several requests regarding the functionality and design of the visualization. These included, first and foremost, the implementation of a 360-degree camera as well as the ability for the user to select the color scheme of various object parts. Since the application was to be integrated into an online store upon final contract award, care had to be taken when identifying a solution to ensure that this was feasible with the technology used. Based on the time required for prototype development and the resulting effort estimate for a final project, it should be possible to create a cost and effort calculation for future projects in the field of 3D visualization on the web.
